I recommend disabling all airport and scenery addons, otherwise the flights will probably not work correctly.
I create flights for P3dV4, V5 and V6. Unfortunately not all flights are compatible with each version.

Since my old gaming PC unexpectedly broke down, I passed the time while waiting for my new PC by playing subLOGIC’s Flight Simulator 2 on the C64.
I then re-flew this exact flight on my new PC using P3D and turned it into a mission.

The flight goes from Los Angeles Intl (KLAX) to Catalina (KAVX) and is flown using VOR navigation.

You can choose between a fair-weather flight with no wind, or a flight with limited visibility, wind, and rain.

You can also choose to enable assistance and decide whether the autopilot is operational or not.

In 1986, your boss founded his charter airline. Today, we are celebrating the company’s 40th anniversary. To mark this occasion, the boss has invited some of his most loyal customers on an anniversary flight in Iceland. You already know all the guests from previous flights: the doctors Chey, Rey, and Dr. Miller, as well as Lisa, who is both a paramedic and a car mechanic.

This flight is based on a real gliding competition: the World Sailplane Grand Prix Sisteron, France 2014. I've followed the route as closely as possible, but I've modified the race format slightly. Pilots don't fly individually; instead, everyone flies simultaneously. This mass start guarantees an exciting race with plenty of overtaking.

Attention, the download for this mission is significantly larger than my other missions, at over 900MB.
This is because 10 recorded AI flights are included with the mission.

At the start of the race, you can choose one of the 5 gliders (DG202-15, DG600-15, DG600-17, DG600-18, DG800) auswählen.

Your AI opponents each fly one of the gliders mentioned above, and each employs a different tactic:
- The Speedster climbs to maximum altitude in thermals and then speeds to the next thermal at top speed (140 knots / 260 km/h).
- The Efficient pilot climbs only as high as necessary in thermals and flies to the next thermal at an optimal glide speed of 100 knots / 185 km/h.
- The Steady pilot glides at 80 knots / 148 km/h and only uses thermals when needed.
- In addition, each opponent flies a different route (see image on the right).

Of course, you can also choose whether you want to fly with or without assistance.
- With the "assisted" option, the mission compass is active, you'll be warned if you miss a waypoint, and you can display thermals (as spirals and rectangles) if needed.
- If you fly "without assistance," you'll have to find the waypoints using GPS, and you'll only recognize thermals by circling birds.

You will play against a smart AI and can choose between different difficulty levels. Furthermore, you can fly with any aircraft of your choice, including helicopters and gliders. Selecting a glider will automatically activate thermals.
